Rochester Hills, MI- Oakland ACHA DI Hockey general manager Corey Hagood has announced that forward Brendan Beasinger has committed to Oakland.

“I couldn’t be more excited with the opportunity to get started with Oakland.” Beasinger said. “To be able to start my college career off with such a great fit and program behind me means the absolute most to me.”

Beasinger comes to Oakland from Grand Blanc High School where he scored 10 goals and 12 assists there.

“Oakland is a 45 minute drive away from my hometown.” Beasinger stated. “With Oakland having such a beautiful campus and great hockey program it was a no-brainer for me.”

Speed will be an important to his game and Beasinger wants to get into the dirty areas of the ice to help his teammates. “A lot of my game is based around my speed.” Beasinger said.

“I’m the type of player who always wants to win that battle in the corner or race to the puck.”

He will study business while at Oakland.
