Rivalry week is here. For the first time since 2019 Oakland University (1-1-0) and Rochester Christian University (1-1-0) will face off in the The Battle For Rochester Hills. The series gets underway Friday night at Suburban Ice Arena at 8:55pm. Tickets are $10 at the door and Oakland University students are free with their student ID.
Oakland is coming off a weekend split at home against Duquesne. Leading the way for the Golden Grizzlies is forward Connor Wilson with one goal and two assists. Forward Joe Aiello and forward James Talmers have scored two goals each. Vinnie Anderson scored his first of the season in Friday nights win.
Spencer Nicoloff, Xavier Sanchez, and Nathan Conklin each recorded their first points at Oakland last weekend with one assist each.
Goalie Connor Carroll (1-0-0) comes into the weekend with a save percentage of 91% and goals against average of 4.62.
Rochester Christian University is coming off a split at Northern Illinois with a 6-5 win Friday night and a 6-2 loss on Saturday night. The Warriors forward Shaun Zatelli scored four goals last weekend leading the offense. Forwards Andrew Beausang, Davis Marchuk, Arkadiusz Sobesto, and Zachary Domanke recorded two points each in the split.
Goalie Nicholas Spognardi (1-0-0) has a 5.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 92% and goalie Cody Pachota (0-1-0) has a 6.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 90%
