Scouting Oakland: Oakland returns forward Corey Schultheis for his junior season. Sophomore Andrew Morrison, Stefano Mini, along with junior Lance Markowitz are back for another year in the Black & Gold. Transfer Drew Schemmel will look to help production for the offense. The Grizzlies have also added freshman Connor Durfee and Justin Greene to the depth up front. On defense Keith Pilut and defenseman Brendan Vogler return for year three, while midseason transfer Alec Antle is back for his first full season at Oakland. In net Jacob Zomick and Parker Remelius return in net for Oakland.
Scouting Central Michigan: The Chips are coming off a 16-1 loss to Michigan on Friday. Forward Aiden Beckman has scored one goal. Forward Will Clark and Frankie Williamson both have one assist. On defense both Gabe Benford has played one game. In net Dylan Niemeyer is 0-1 with a goals against average of 16.
New Oakland Coaching Staff: Head coach Nick Mammel and assistant coach and alum Greg Meuser will lead the Grizzlies behind the bench this season.
