Rochester, MI- Oakland ACHA DI Hockey general manager Corey Hagood has announced that forward Jacob Petrycia has joined the team. “I am excited to play for Oakland to continue my hockey journey at a high level.” Petrycia stated. He comes to Oakland from the BU Kings, where he scored 15 goals and 13 assists in 22 games last season.
“I would like to continue my journey and play at a high level while competing with a good group of guys that I can look forward to seeing at practice and games. ” He added.
Petrycia will bring a new element to the Oakland lineup that has been missing this season. “Jacob being a big body will help us in areas of need, he’s a true power forward that we don’t have in the lineup right now, he has the ability to win net front and corner battles with his strength and wear down opponents as well.” Oakland head coach Nick Mammel stated.
“He’s grown so much in the short time with us, he’s making great strides and there’s lots of potential for him and I’m excited to get to work with him!”
Petrycia will be a hard working forward that will do anything to help his team win. “You can expect hard work every shift, focus, and a drive to win. I would say I’m more of a playmaker, I like to assist and help the offense run the best that it can.”
Petrycia will study Mechanical Engineering while at Oakland.
