Rochester Hills, MI-Oakland ACHA DI Hockey general manager Corey Hagood is pleased to announce that defenseman Caleb Jeshurun has committed to Oakland. Jeshurun comes to Oakland from the Motor City Hockey Club (USPHL Premier).

“It’s an honor to become a part of this program.” Jeshurun said. “Oakland’s hockey club has a long history of national tournament appearances, from 2001-2014 and a few of those being championships. I’m excited to be a part of that.”

After hearing about the program from head coach Sean Parker and visiting campus Jeshurun knew this was the place for him. “After touring the school with coach and hearing about the hockey program and all it has to offer, I knew Oakland would be a great fit for me.” Jeshurun stated.

Jeshurun will help improve the defense of Oakland this season and add a physical element to the blueline. “I am a defensive defenseman.” Jeshurun said. “At times I like to be more aggressive and make plays moving the puck.” “I look forward to bringing to the team big hits, and physicality at every play.”

Jeshurun plans on studying business while attending Oakland University.

“Caleb is a local kid that I got to watch a handful of times.” Coach Parker stated. He’s a physical big defenseman, probably more of a typical stay at home defenseman. He will help stabilize the back end.”
