After scouting and watching Jordan for about a year, the Oakland coaching staff decided he would be a good fit for the program. “We have been watching and talking to Ethan for a good part of a year now, he’s local and played High School close to us here in Midland, and has been on the junior/prep circuit since then.” Oakland head coach Nick Mammel stated. “In this past year his development has grown tremendously, I’m very excited to have him be in Black and Gold. We expect his development to grow even further once he get to work with our staff. He’s an excellent student and young man!”
“I really enjoyed skating with the team over the summer and also in the winter time, so I got to really get to know the players and coaching staff. They always make me feel welcome and a part of the family and that’s exactly what I was looking for in a hockey club and also a school.”
On the ice, he will being energy and effort to the Oakland net. “I represent a “first on and last off” mentality, I always bring the energy in the locker room and also on the ice I’m very vocal and love to get the team hyped up during both games and practices.” Jordan said.
“My in-game instincts are undeniable, and I always bring 110% of my effort on and off the ice during both games and practice. I think you should expect the most electrifying goaltender that you’ve ever seen play at Oakland University.”
Jordan will be studying Graphic Design and Sports Management.
