Oakland ACHA DI Hockey general manager Corey Hagood is pleased to announce that goalie Connor Carroll has transferred to Oakland. Carroll comes to Oakland from Concordia University Ann Arbor (ACHA DI) “I am very excited to be coming to Oakland with a fresh start.” Carroll stated. “It’s a good school with a nice campus that I am excited to be a part of it.”
“My impressions of the coaching staff were tremendous” He said. “Nick made it an easy transition coming in as a transfer student. The coaching staff have all been very respectful and positive about the coming season.”
Carroll becomes the 15th commit this offseason for Oakland.
“We are very excited to bring Connor on board, he will be a great addition to the team.” Oakland goalie coach Luc Roberts stated.
“Connor will be a great veteran presence to our young goalie room, we are thrilled to be chose to transfer to us and can’t wait for him to excel in our program.” Oakland head coach Nick Mammel stated.
Carroll’s decision to transfer to Oakland was made easier because of the coaching staff and how the program is run. “I decided to continue playing hockey at Oakland because of the coaching staff, the great atmosphere, and the professionalism of the program.”He said.
On the ice, you’ll see a hardworking competitor that wants to help the team win a lot of games. “I am a hardworking goalie that likes to compete.” Carroll said. “I am a smooth skating and fast goalie. I am very calm in the net, and confident in my game. I intend to backstop the team to a lot of wins.”
Carroll will be studying physical therapy with the hope of getting a doctorate in the near future.
