Rochester Hills, MI- Oakland Hockey general manager Corey Hagood has announced that forward Jeremy Schwartz has committed to Oakland. Schwartz comes to Oakland from the Metro Jets (USPHL Premier) where he scored 31 goals, 37 points and 68 total points while a Metro Jet.

Oakland held its early signing day this weekend at the ONYX Ice Arena. The Golden Grizzlies have seven new commits we will be announcing. Coach Field and his staff are also still on the recruiting trail, with a few more spots open on next season’s roster.

“I’ve Heard many great things about Oakland and how good the hockey team is.” Schwartz stated. “Also it’s close from home.”

He was also a member of the Metro Jets 2018 NA3HL Fraser Cup Championship team.

On the ice, Schwartz will be another hard working forward for head coach Nick Field and assistant coach Aaron Hundt.

“I’m one hard working player that doesn’t quit on any battles I’m in. You should be expecting a fast skater, since I’m trying to get my legs back.” Schwartz added.

During his time at Oakland Schwartz will be studying Mechanical Engineering and he says “he’s looking forward to it.”
