Oakland Hockey General Manager Corey Hagood has announced that defenseman Matthew Moretuzzo has been voted winner of The Brian Belliotti Most Improved Player Award.

The end of the season awards were voted on by the Oakland ACHA DI Hockey players.

Moretuzzo in his first season as a Golden Grizzly scored two goals and added 11 assists. He played in all 33 games this season. Moretuzzo improved his play during every game on the ice for Oakland becoming a trusted player on the blueline for head coach Nick Field.

The previous two winners of the award were: Luke Mackin (2018) and Chris Hubbard (2019)
