Oakland ACHA DI Hockey general manager Corey Hagood has announced that forward Antonio Carlisi has committed to Oakland. Carlisi previously played at Utica-Fraser Unified where he recorded 10 points last season and he also served as team captain.

“I’m excited to be committed to OU and apart of the Grizzly family.” Carlisi stated.

“Antonio is a big body coming from an up and coming high school co-op program.” Head coach Nick Mammel stated. “He skated at our recruit skate and was everything we asked him to be. We are excited to get him to school and to start working with him.”

A dream to play college hockey is coming true, and a perfect fit with Oakland. “I’ve always dreamed of playing college hockey.” Carlisi said. “I’ve heard nothing but good things about OU Hockey and think I fit into the program well. “

As a hardworking defensive forward Carlisi is looking forward to bringing that element into the Oakland lineup. “I am confident, coachable, and have the mindset of a defensive player that allows me to see both sides of the ice and make plays. I think my hard-work ethic is a great fit for the OU squad”

He is looking forward to learning under the leadership of the Oakland coaching staff. “The coach’s are nothing but respectful and great guys. I really think I’ll learn a lot under their leadership.” Carlisi added.

He will be studying business at Oakland.
