If you were not playing hockey what would you be doing?

I would be playing another sport, probably lacrosse because I played a little growing up.

First time playing?

I started playing ice hockey at five but began with roller at three years old.

Have you played any other positions besides forward and how did it go?

Yea in my early years like squirt and peewee I played defense and the occasional rotating team goalie.

Why did you want to be a forward?

The opportunities that come with it compared to defense, as great as it feels shutting down a goal, nothings better than netting one or getting the apple.

How did you end up at OU and why did you choose to play here?

It was great having the opportunity to play while still being able to stay at home, my brother (Gino Mini) was also a grizzly and pushed me to do better than himself.

PlayStation or X-Box?

PlayStation now, but Xbox 360 is elite

Favorite Video Game? Are you any good?

Favorite video game right now is Space Marine 2, but the boys and I tear up in val

What do you drive now and what is your dream car and why?

I drive a 2016 VW jetta and I would kill for a 1972 porche 911 or a Ferrari 250 coupe, can’t beat a classy and timeless look

What is your dream vacation and why?

Italy, went this year but can’t get enough of it.

Nickname? 

Mini, pretty straightforward.

Most embarrassing hockey moment?

Last week had a wide open net and stick snapped.

Most embarrassing life moment? 

At six years old my brother pushed me into a fountain at a mall.

Favorite sport besides hockey?

UFC.

Pregame meal?

Mom’s homemade pasta.

Pregame Ritual?

The only ritual is sewer.

Are you superstitious?

Not really superstitious, just show up ready to go 100%.

Favorite music to pump you up before a game? 

Heavy stuff like Megadeth or some Russian Techno.

Favorite movie and why?

Miracle or Rocky IV, US beats the Soviets.

Favorite TV Show and why? 

Dexter, the concept is pretty cool,

Your hockey idol and why?

Wouldn’t say much of an idol, but I like the gritty play that Mathew Tkachuk brings to the table while being a threat on the ice.

Do you watch a lot of NHL? If so what is that team besides the Wings that you love?

I watch a lot of highlights but not really sitting down to watch by myself unless I’m with the boys or it’s playoffs.

What is one thing most people do not know about you?

At night, fellow teammate Vinnie Anderson and I dress as Batman and Robin and fight crime together.
