The Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League (GLCHL) announced its 2019-20 season awards and several Oakland Hockey players took home honors.
Oakland forward Chase Sereno has been named as the 2019-20 GLCHL Sportsmanship Award winner. Sereno finished the season with 18 goals and 21 assists, along with just six penalty minutes.
Freshman forward Cam Schwartz has been named to the GLCHL 2nd Team All-League and was also named to the GLCHL All-Rookie Team. Schwartz had 22 goals and 18 assists in his freshman season with Oakland.
Oakland forward Luke Mackin was named to the GLCHL All-Defensive Team. Mackin finished the year with 12 goals and 10 assists.
Oakland defenseman Tyler Simon was named to the GLCHL All-Academic team. Simon led the defense this season with 19 points.
The Golden Grizzlies finished the 2019-20 season with a record of 21-10-2
