The Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League (GLCHL) announced that four Golden Grizzlies have been named as “GLCHL Performers” after #23 Oakland’s big weekend sweep over Kent State.
Forward Chase Sereno earned the honor after scoring four goals and three assists on Friday night. Sereno also had an assist Saturday to finish off an eight point weekend.
Freshman forward Cam Schwartz was recognized after his five goal weekend, including recording a hat-trick on Friday night. Schwartz finished the weekend with seven points.
Saturday night’s 26 save performance led to Oakland goalie Josh Pack being named in this weeks conference honors. He stopped 50 of 53 shots faced this weekend.
Finally, freshman forward Brendan Smith was a “GLCHL Preformer” after his four point weekend against the Golden Flashes. Smith scored one goal and added three assists this past weekend.
