The Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League (GLCHL) has named both Brendan Smith and Jeremy Schwartz as this weeks “GLCHL Performers”
Smith and Schwartz were both named after each scored two goals in Friday’s 4-2 win over Western Michigan at the ONYX.
Smith after his two goal game is tied for the team lead in points with 33. He has points in 15 of the 17 Oakland wins this season. Smith also leads the team in assists with 20.
Schwartz now has points in 14 of 17 Oakland wins this season. His 26 points is second best in the freshman class and fourth best on the Golden Grizzlies. Saturday was his eighth multi-point game of the season.
Oakland will face Toledo this weekend in a home-and-home series.
